How can I reach Hixme customer service?

Hixme has a team of friendly expert customer representatives. You may reach them through email at help@hixme.com, or you may call 1-866-936-2854 for a faster response. Our representatives can answer your questions, trigger your bundle features, and more.

What’s the Hixme Health Bundle™?

The Hixme Health Bundle is a plan that expands your health coverage beyond the limits of your traditional insurance policy. It reduces your out-of-pocket and deductible spending. It also has safety net features that are only triggered if you need them.

What’s the next step after receiving a carrier explanation of benefits (EOB) or provider bill?

That depends on the circumstances. For a doctor or specialist visit, you may need to pay more at the point of service, and submit your bill and EOB to Hixme for reimbursement. For further instructions and more information, see article:  What do I do when I receive a provider bill or carrier EOB? Or call Hixme at 866-936-2854.

How do I enroll with Hixme?

  • Once your employer is contracted with Hixme, they will determine when to schedule open enrollment.
  • Generally it takes place in early November.
  • Go to enrollme.hixme.com during your employer’s scheduled open enrollment and follow the instructions there.
  • The enrollment process only takes about 15 minutes to complete, and must be done on a desktop computer or laptop, not a mobile phone.
  • You may also be able to enroll at a different time if you have an IRS qualifying event. See hixme.com. (update link) http://help.hixme.com/customer/portal/articles/2634214

What is Right Fitting Coverage™?

Our Hixme Health Bundles allow you to choose Right Fitting Coverage that is appropriate for each member of your family. This is unlike traditional group insurance, because it allows you to buy individual coverage based on the needs of each family member.

What are the new Flexible Spending Account (FSA) limits for 2018?

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) released the 2018 election limits for Commuter Plans (parking + transit monthly limits are $260) and Health FSA (limited and full purpose limit is $2,650). For more information about the 2018 limits, read the full IRS-issued document.

How do I know if my doctors are part of my selected plan?

  • You can check if your doctors are part of the plan during the enrollment process.
  • For your convenience, a “provider finder” tool is available within each insurance carrier’s plan on the platform.
  • Our team can also assist you during the process.
  • Call us at 866-936-2854 or find a provider here.

What is the Hixme Copay Cap?

This is an additional cost-saving feature of the Hixme Bundle. It limits your out-of-pocket expenses for in-network doctor/specialist visits and prescriptions. Learn more about the maximum cost with Hixme Bundles by accessing this link. (make work ‘link’ active)

What is Hixme’s WorkPlace Market Platform™?

The WorkPlace Market Platform empowers personalized benefit ownership. Built using innovative proprietary software, the platform matches each worker with a Hixme Health Bundle that’s ideal for their health needs and usage patterns.

How do I discuss my health plan with my doctor or provider?

Always refer to your core medical plan as a personal policy that you own, but is paid for by your employer. Read more about the do’s and don’ts here.

How does Hixme work?

We use Hixme’s WorkPlace Market Platform software that recommends healthcare coverage bundles matched to each employee’s needs. The revolutionary software matches you to a uniquely designed bundle based on your answers to certain health-related and usage-related questions.

Why should I work with Hixme?

You have a range of choices when it comes to healthcare and other benefits. Our platform doesn’t limit you to only one or two plan options that your employer chose; you can personalize your own healthcare bundle.

How do my family’s varying plans affect deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums?

If your family members pick separate plans, each plan will have separate deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. Take this into consideration when making your choices. Each family member can pick the level of coverage that meets their personal needs. This right fitting coverage may still save you money even if you have to meet separate deductibles.

How is Hixme different from other traditional group coverage plans?

You get to enjoy personal ownership and a larger variety of choices. Coverages available through Hixme are often more affordable than the traditional group coverage and include unique wrap around on-demand safety net coverages that you use only when you need them. Additionally, you own the coverage and can take the coverage with you even if you leave your job. See What’s a Hixme Health Bundle?

How are my premiums paid with Hixme?

Your employer will pay for your monthly premium according to the contract. Your share will be deducted from your paycheck. Some carriers will send a bill directly to you early in the month. Please do not pay this or cancel your coverage thinking it is duplicate coverage.

What happens if my premiums are paid late?

Hixme makes sure your contract premium is paid on time every month.

What happens if my circumstances change (e.g. getting married, having children, etc.)?

Hixme will help you make these changes with your carrier. Simply call our fast and efficient customer service representatives. If your changes constitute an IRS “Qualifying Event” you can reenroll in different coverage within 30 days of the documented event.

What happens if I reach the age of 65?

You can explore your options through Medicare, and you can still choose to get coverage through your employer.

What should I do if I need help with an authorization, prescriptions, or finding a provider?

Simply contact Hixme at 866-936-2854. Our customer service line is available on weekdays at 8am to 5pm PST.

What is the difference between a private and public exchange?

A private exchange is set up by brokerage firms or health insurance companies. The federal or state government, or both, sets up a public exchange.

How do Flexible Spending and Reimbursement Accounts work?

You can set aside a fixed amount of money pretax per year according to IRS Guidelines for each type of account. Your contribution comes from your paycheck before it is taxed (lowering your taxable income). You can save money by using the funds for healthcare, dependent care or transportation expenses.

What types of health plans are available in the Hixme Bundle?

The health plans are private direct-to-consumer policies that work differently than traditional plans, but their structures are similar (ie: HMO, EPO, PPO & HDHD HSA). Learn more about the health plans by clicking here.

What are the subsidies that can help me with my health insurance payments?

If you are below the age of 65 and are not entitled to coverage through your employer, then you may be eligible for Medicare or tax subsidies. If you get coverage through the public exchange, you can apply for tax credit subsidies through them. This is not applicable to people who receive employer-sponsored coverage that meets ACA requirements.

Will there be greater flexibility when I enroll family members to Hixme?

Yes. You can choose a unique bundle for each of your loved ones, unlike traditional group insurance.

How many healthcare coverages does Hixme offer?

We have a variety of Direct-to-Consumer plans from over 170 different carriers. Offerings will vary based on your regional location. You are not limited to only one or two coverage options or a single carrier.

What do I do if I want to keep the same plan I had last year?

Even if you want to keep your same plan you still need to enroll on our WorkPlace Market

platform. We recommend that you research alternatives that might better suit your medical and financial needs. The platform will recommend different options and if the same plan is offered, you can select it. We can also assist you in finding the right plan.

Why is my company shifting to Hixme from traditional group insurance?

It’s probably because your company is seeing the advantages of partnering with Hixme. The partnership gives you more choice in your health care coverage, for instance. You and your company may also enjoy significant cost savings.

What is BundleMe™?

BundleMe™ is part of the WorkPlace Market Platform. It’s a tool that helps with relative value analytics, and aggregates data on healthcare costs for a large random sample population over a full year. This allows workers to view the relative value of the many Hixme Health Bundles.

What is ModelMe™?

This tool allows our team to generate a custom analysis based on a specific company profile. In particular, we can produce a forecast of the impact of your company’s switch to the Hixme platform.
